Code of Conduct

BSides Basingstoke is committed to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or nationality.

Harassment

We define harassment as any unwelcome behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sexual harassment

  • Sexist, racist, or otherwise discriminatory language

  • Unwanted physical contact

  • Intimidation

  • Stalking

  • Harassment through social media

  • Interrupting/heckling speakers (unless invited to do so by the speaker)

Reporting Harassment

If you experience or witness harassment, please report it to a conference helper (marked by the red tshirts), or a member of Dice Tower staff immediately. You can also anonymously reach out to us via email at bsidesbasingstoke@gmail.com with your concerns.

Consequences of Harassment

We will take all reports of harassment seriously and investigate them promptly. We will take appropriate action against anyone who is found to have violated the code of conduct. This may include warning the offender, expulsion from the conference, or other measures deemed necessary.
